Many of the local business owners are members of the Caithness Chamber of Commerce who also run Invest Caithness which aims to offer support for local businesses and individuals who are looking to invest where they live and work. It also works in attracting inward investors and visitors to the area.
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), Highland Council (through Highland Opportunity Ltd and Business Gateway), NDA’s through the Caithness and North Sutherland Fund and the North Highland Regeneration Fund and the Chamber of Commerce through the Caithness Business Fund all provide financial, advisory or other help for businesses to start-up, grow and flourish.
